Aberystwyth Town Council services the town and surrounding area. There's a council representative for each ward and a Town Mayor. The present Mayor is Cllr. Richard Boudier who is a very proactive member of the town. The Town Council are responsible for a number of services within Aberystwyth which includes the Christmas Lights and the up keep of the flower beds. The Clerk is Mr Jim Griffiths who is situated at the Town Hall.
